I've not installed the TN3270 client, as that would be for a 6000 or 390, I think. :-) I've had no luck with using Alt or Ctrl-Alt as the meta key with TN5250, but I *have* had luck using plain ol' Escape-[1..=] for regular function keys and Escape-Shift-[!..+] for F13..F24. This is entirely like just using a regular telnet client to talk to the AS/400, but without the cozy DSPVTMAP when you decide you want to change your keymap.
