I want to monitor the load, see if any bottle necks are occuring. I want to examine the performance of my switches and hubs. I want to be able to login to my switches and change the settings. If I could get a graphical layout of my network (devices, etc) that would be gravy. Also, if it could alarm when a node goes down, that would be great. I'm sure I'm forgetting something. -- Darryl -----Original Message----- From: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG [mailto:owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG]On Behalf Of David Raistrick Sent: Wednesday, November 29, 2000 9:30 AM To: Darryl Hoar Cc: freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Subject: Re: Network Monitoring On Wed, 29 Nov 2000, Darryl Hoar wrote: > it and using it only for monitoring/managing my network. (I use mrtg to graph many other things, as well..) But I also use big brother to monitor connectivity of all of our WAN links. http://ee-staff.ethz.ch/~oetiker/webtools/mrtg/mrtg.html http://bb4.com/ would get you started. Both are available in the ports collection, as well. ....david -- David Raistrick Digital Wireless Communications davidr@dwcinet.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
