I have a Compaq Pent Pro 200 with 64 megs running FreeBSD 2.2.2. I just added a LinkSys Etherfast 100Base-TX card to it. It is configured as follows: de0: flags=c843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,LINK2,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 inet 192.168.1.4 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 192.168.1.255 ether 00:40:05:36:b4:bf The hub sees the card and the card's leds say it is working at 10baseT speed (which is what everything else is). The problem is that I can't get out to any other computers on my local ethernet, and I can't ping to 192.168.1.4 from any other computer on the local ethernet. I can of course ping 192.168.1.4 and localhost from 192.168.1.4. What is the c843 after flags mean? All my other machines say 8843.
