I got this hang twice in the last day. After 2-3 hours of continuously  
run airodiump-ng (from net-mgmt/aircrack-ng) system stops responding  
to any mouse/keyboard clicks.

Why would aircrack-ng hang the system?
How to troubleshoot this?

I am current on ports and my kernel is from May 6.
