I've installed GateD 3.6 on FreeBSD 4.2 (PC), I've set the system variables as follow:
sysctl -w net.inet.ip.forwarding =1
sysctl -w net.inet.udp.checksum =1
the /etc/gated.conf is as follows:
kzheng# cat /etc/gated.conf
rip yes {
nobroadcast ;
};
however, when I started GateD with gdc, and made GateD dump core:
gdc COREDUMP
I found in /var/tmp/gated.core sum message about RIP not running due to UDPchecksums DISABLED:
Target_Build^@RIP^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@rip_init: UDP checksums *DISABLED* in kernel; RIP disab
led^@òdp^@route^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@rip_init: is routed or an old
copy of gated running?
...
I tried several times and couldn't figure out what was going wrong. Could you help me out of the problem? Thanks a lot.
