While you're at it, I'd like to suggest the following:

 - remove the warning in NOTES about AIO being unstable / unsafe; it
   is no longer true (you may want to double-check with jasone, who
   added the warning in the first place)

 - add options VFS_AIO to GENERIC

 - merge all of this to RELENG_6 before the freeze
