I can use a New Media LiveWire 10/100 card fine. This card : uses the same driver as the one loaded for the IBM card. I allocate : specific FREE resources in the pccard.conf file with no success. : Removing the card also does not help, the computer stays locked : I do see the IBM card on the list of supported NICs by name but I have : also heard of trouble getting this card to work. I would appreciate any : assistance in fixing this problem. Hmmmm, the IBM CreditCard Ethernet II should just work. It is just a NE2000 clone. I've had reports in the past of it working well. Warner I believe the New Media LiveWire 10/100 card is a NE2000 clone. I have used at least one of the IBM cards on a Win98 machine successfully. The laptop is an IBM Thinkpad 600. I have tried both cards on the BSD/Hitachi laptop. I will admit that I have never tried the IBM card on the Hitachi laptop in Windows. I have posted this problem three times in consecutive months. My last post has all the information which I did not want to repeat. The URL is http://www.geocrawler.com/mail/msg.php3?msg_id=7334699&list=163. I hope you can help as my only alternative is a Win 98 internet router. To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-mobile" in the body of the message
