The user "sys" does not exist on my freebsd4 system. The man page for identd says: User "sys" should have enough rights to READ the kernal but NOT write to it. So i've gone with the inetd.conf example of "root", but i have a terrible feeling that that is rather insecure ? Any comments ? Or does anyone know who kidnapped "sys" ? Does his family miss him ?
