I hate to be a butthead about this, but spackling over all the possible error messages in all the drivers is a lot of work and fixing this right is much easier. mahira-san's patches to pccardd are a step in the right direction. NEWCARD does't suffer from this problem, so there's more incentive for me to get it working and just blow off all OLDCARD issues from now on.
