Greg,

   Thanks for the assist. I tried modifying XF86Config as specified above.
No change. Also tried changing the Modeline line to:

   Modeline  "800x600"    25.18 640 664 760 800 480 491 493 525

from:

   Modeline  "640x480"    25.18 640 664 760 800 480 491 493 525

   This also had no effect.
