I was able to successfully install hpasm-7.50-Package.tar on my FreeBSD
7.1-Prerelease system, running HP DL360 G3.

There are no errors with the installation, and kldstat shows :

# kldstat
Id Refs Address Size Name
 1 7 0xc0400000 9e8d90 kernel
 2 2 0xc0de9000 6a5d4 acpi.ko
 3 1 0xc4341000 9000 if_bridge.ko
 4 1 0xc434a000 6000 bridgestp.ko
 5 1 0xc857c000 a000 ipmi.ko
 6 1 0xc5137000 2000 smbus.ko
#

Unfortunately, when I try to run the hpasm.sh startup script in
/usr/local/etc/rc.d, I get the following error message :

hpasmxld[76744]: hpasmxld: Invalid Device: /dev/ipmi0

Indeed, no device named "ipmi0" exists in /dev

Has anyone experienced this before? Suggestions?

Thanks!

~kevin
