You have to rebuild everything that touches utmp - of course login and 
friends have already been done by the buildworld, but if you're running
X you'll have to rebuild that (or at least xterm, rxvt, or whatever you're
using as a terminal emulator), if it writes a utmp record.  Other likely
candidates are screen and ftpd if you have installed the wu-ftpd port.
