Hi, In /etc/adduser.conf The line usernameregexp should look like usernameregexp = '^[a-z0-9_][a-z0-9_-]*$' If not replace it with the above line and then add a user. on running the adduser script it will first ask for Usernames must match regular expression: [^[a-z0-9_][a-z0-9_-]*$]: JUST HIT ENTER ON THE PROMPT.
