Correct me if I'm wrong, but having hardware acceleration for these cards does not mean OpenGL acceleration. I would be using software rendering with Mesa with these cards, correct? That's orders of magnitude slower than hardware OpenGL --- an OpenGL implementation which serves as an interface to the hardware.
