Yes, this isn't a question, and yes it's not primarily about FreeBSD, _but_ I've certainly been asked often enough about X servers for Windows machines. http://www.starnet.com/ We haven't purchased from them yet, but the demo is _very_ promising, and the only cripple is that you can only run one copy per subnet. On a DX4/1100 with 16M and PCI ethernet under W95 we managed to open about 30 xterms, xfig, half a dozen AXE's and a couple of xv's on reasonably large images. After a couple of days heavy use, it still hasn't crashed or exhibited any undesirable behaviour. Just FYI. I'm not associated with Starnet in any fashion other than as a prospective customer. -- ]] Mike Smith, Software Engineer msmith@atrad.adelaide.edu.au [[ ]] Genesis Software genesis@atrad.adelaide.edu.au [[ ]] High-speed data acquisition and (GSM mobile) 0411-222-496 [[ ]] realtime instrument control (ph/fax) +61-8-267-3039 [[ ]] "Who does BSD?"
