I thought it might be the tape drive so I installed Amanda and tried backing up to a tape drive on a different machine. I got the same results with Amanda. ____________________________________________________________________ FAILURE AND STRANGE DUMP SUMMARY: humpty ad0s1f lev 0 FAILED [data timeout] humpty ad0s1f lev 0 FAILED [driver says port-dump failed] humpty ad0s1f lev 0 FAILED [dump to tape failed] STATISTICS: Total Full Daily -------- -------- -------- Dump Time (hrs:min) 0:43 0:00 0:00 (0:01 start, 0:41 idle) Output Size (meg) 18.0 0.0 18.0 Original Size (meg) 18.0 0.0 18.0 Avg Compressed Size (%) -- -- -- Tape Used (%) 0.1 0.0 0.1 (level:#disks ...)
