when i play an audio cd (started from FreeBSD with either cdcontrol's play
command or xmcd) it plays fine for about one track (sometimes longer) but then
suddenly stops. I never get the whole cd played anymore.

This didn't happen before my last make world (unfortunately i dont remember
when this was). I'm sure this is not an harware problem since this happens on
two very different boxes. Also one of the cdroms is an Plextor which has an
'play' button. Wehn pressing this one, the cd plays fine and doesn't get
stopped.
