Gentlemen, I just started with tex-ing under FreeBSD. Sometime ago (about 5-6 years) I had an experience with emTeX package. Now I'm trying to explore an teTeX package. So I accumulated some questions for now. I guess that this questions should be addressed to TeX guru, but something tells me that this question more freebsd-specific neither other unix. 1. After main teTex package was installed I tried to instal latex2e-9801 over it (thinking about upgrade). 'tex --ini ...' reported an error (opposite to situation when tex+mf only was installed). Am I right when I changed 'tex --ini' with 'initex' command? 2. Can anyone comment the fact I'd read in some documents that teTeX 0.9 version is up-to-date teTex distribution for now? 3. what differences between ((tex+mf) + latex2e) and teTex? 4. Does anybody compares teTex distribution for freebsd and linux? What are differences (excluding versions and traditional paths) --- Antuan Avdioukhine St.Petersburg, Russia --- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
