I can do that now with the standard ISA and PCI cards that FreeBSD support but I need something with a bit better audio spec than the ESS Maestro2 chip that is my laptop. Having it support S/PDIF would be a bit win. So I am looking for a PCMCIA or USB solution that can take Mic or Line (-10 or +4 dBm) analog or S/PDIF coax in/out. There is the Sound Devices' USBPre box that does this via the USB port... http://www.sounddevices.com/usbpremaster.htm Or there is a PCMCIA solution from Digigram that also supports S/PDIF and analog... http://www.digigram.com/products/getinfo.htm?prod_key=9000 Any of these devices supported? Any suggestions on others? Thanks...
