The simple patch on: http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-ports-bugs/2014-April/276962.html which just lets games/minecraft-client use openjdk8 instead of openjdk7 works fine for me. Of course the JAVA_VERSION variable should be set to 1.8+. Thank you, Dominik
