This is caused by Kirk Mckusick's recent commits to src/sys/ufs/ffs/fs.h where he changed a couple of macros to do operations with 64 bit precision instead of 32 bit like before (and that was a bug). Unfortunately, gcc/i386 is really inefficient at doing 64 bit operations and this has blown boot2's code size through the roof.
