This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_0017_01C01E46.21B79FC0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable I am a half new-bies here, having 4.0BSD installed in a Compaq Pentium = III PC, with one network interface, i need to install an internal DNS to = resolve all the Internal IPs within the company, and only access to = external ISP using one IP address.=20 The problems that I faced are=20 1) with one network interface, can I configure both internal and = external IP? i have tried ip aliasing by add in ' ifconfig rl0 = 192.168.0.1 192.168.0.255 alias', but I was advised not to use it as it = may confuse the network interface. 2) The name server is not seems to be working either, as all the = named.boot, named.root, localhost.rev, named.conf is up.
