I think KDE is improving too. I don't use it because it is still too slow, and because I don't need all the stuff it comes with. I do, however, use Konqueror for my browser. I was using Mozilla before and boy I was so happy to find Konqueror. However, I still think KDE and every other open source desktop still have alot of improvement to make before they are as good as or better than the Mac or any of the lesser-known-but-just-as-good( beos, riscos, qnx, ...). And then on top of that, I don't really see the need for a desktop. I am a newbie coder. I mostly just screw around with BSD and radio. What I would like is for FreeBSD to be as easy as a Mac or a BeBox. I think it can be done and done well. Not only that but I think one day FreeBSd will be that neat.
