Why "ja-"?

Aren't all prefixes [a-z]+- anyway?
So we could set PKGNAMEPREFIX to "ja", and then not
$PKGNAMEPREFIX$PORTNAME but $PKGNAMEPREFIX-$PORTNAME.

Just curious...
