The real problem is that UNIX is more flexible than Microsoft, so you can't talk of a specific "look". You get to choose what your screen looks like. You can even get a pretty good Microsoft lookalike, but not many people choose that one. There are a number of screen shots of various window layouts available; take a look at http://www.kde.org/screenshots/desktop.gif for one. There's also a site somewhere with a comparison of a whole lot of window managers, but I've lost the URL. Can anybody help?
