If this is a problem for you, there is nothing stopping you from
simply bumping the shared library version number locally in your
version (see src/lib/libpthread/Makefile).  That's the neat thing
about having the source for your OS :-).

Note: I have no idea what, if any, pain this will cause later.  Do
this at your own risk and yadadada std. disclaimer :-).
