AFAIK this uses the iwn driver which a group of us is now working on. Backports (testing) exist for 7.1, and there are several references to them on this list. Use the latest, and post back here with your results which will help us further the task (/var/log/messages, dmesg, etc). Just to check that this is the driver you need, run a pciconf -lv and post the result back here.
