Hmm...I'm not doing any effort to maintain the old gnu-ghostscript port, but JIC someone want to have a shot on updating this driver here it goes. cheers, Pedro. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Tue, 24 Oct 2000 20:13:30 +0200 From: Martin Lottermoser <Martin.Lottermoser@t-online.de> To: undisclosed-recipients: ; Subject: Beta release of pcl3 (successor to hpdj) Hello, I'm writing to you because you once reported on how my "hpdj" driver worked for a particular printer. I have now completed a substantially revised version, called "pcl3 3.0". Because so much has changed, this version is only a beta release and I should like to have it tested on as many different printers as possible. If you have the time, the inclination, and a suitable PCL-3+ printer, I should be grateful if you could try this new version and report on it. You can find the distribution through the following URL: http://home.t-online.de/home/Martin.Lottermoser It should also soon appear at the official place: ftp://ftp.sbs.de/pub/graphics/ghostscript/pcl3/ The file to fetch is called pcl3-3.0.tar.gz in both cases. You will need some experience in compiling programs if you wish to take part in this test. Yours sincerely, Martin Lottermoser P.S.: As you may have guessed, this is a mass mail. If we had a more personal contact before, please do not be offended: there are simply too many people who have over the past three years reported on hpdj for me to mail each of them individually. My apologies. -- Martin Lottermoser Martin.Lottermoser@t-online.de Greifswaldstrasse 28 38124 Braunschweig Telephone: +49 (531) 6802747 Germany To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-ports" in the body of the message
