Version FreeBSD 2.2.6 I enabled the amd daemon in my rc.conf file. I entered the directory that I wanted to mount (/home) with the associated nis map (amd.home). I verified that the amd daemon was running. amd -p -a /net -c 1800 -k i386 -d [my domain] /home amd.home I also verified that I can access the map by issuing the command, ypcat -k amd.home I logged in as root and tried to change directory to a user's home dierctory which yielded the permission denied cd /home/[user] [user]: permission denied I also tried to step down the temporary path setup by amd cd /net/[Machine]/home/[user] which also yields permission denied. I used amq -ms and the mount command which both shows the file system has been mounted properly. If I turn off amd and mount manually every thing works fine. Does any one have any suggestions ?
