The manpages aren't detailed enough and the FreeBSD handbook portion which describes the mailing system has not been completed yet by the people at Walnut Creek. I have a PPP connection to the internet which seems to be working fine. I am allocated a dynamic IP address when I connect and I am basically able to use all my internet client software such as ftp, telnet, etc. By telnetting to my host at UConn, I found my IP address at the time of the connection and sent a mail message to my FreeBSD machine "katya.jnsm.com" you will see in the log file. The message was both bounced back at me at my UConn address and left with my root account on FreeBSD instead of being sent to the appropriate user. My users seem to be able to mail each other locally, but I am still getting some kind of configuration error as follows in the transscript. Thank You, J.
