I've learned a few things... 1. My questions like this should go to FreeBSD-questions. Sorry. 2. I begin to understand that much of the doc (FreeBSD Manual, FAQ) that I have been reading is probably not up to FreeBSD 5.0 yet. 3. The hardware I am atempting to install on is probably not where I should be on something as new as 5.0. (FWIW, the hw I've been trying to use is a 486 motherboard but with some not-off-the-shelf configuration.) 4. My *nix skills are probably not up to what I have been attempting with this project. I need to step back and try something easier for my first FreeBSD install.
