Hello,
I found this today in /var/log/messages:
Sep 12 08:35:54 <snip> /kernel: OUCH! cannot remove rule, count 1
Sep 12 11:21:08 <snip> /kernel: drop session, too many entries
What's that 1st line supposed to mean?
I tried cross-checking with /var/log/security, and saw this for the
corresponding period:
Sep 12 06:15:02 <snip> /kernel: Connection attempt to TCP 127.0.0.1:113
from 127.0.0.1:4050
Sep 12 06:15:02 <snip> /kernel: Connection attempt to UDP 127.0.0.1:512
from 127.0.0.1:3716
Sep 12 12:15:01 <snip> /kernel: Connection attempt to TCP ::0001:25 from
::0001:4285
Sep 12 12:15:01 <snip> /kernel: Connection attempt to TCP 127.0.0.1:113
from 127.0.0.1:4287
Sep 12 12:15:02 <snip> /kernel: Connection attempt to UDP 127.0.0.1:512
from 127.0.0.1:3944
Sep 12 12:29:54 <snip> /kernel: Connection attempt to TCP ::0001:25 from
::0001:4291
Sep 12 12:29:54 <snip> /kernel: Connection attempt to TCP 127.0.0.1:113
from 127.0.0.1:4293
Sep 12 12:29:54 <snip> /kernel: Connection attempt to UDP 127.0.0.1:512
from 127.0.0.1:3957
Does anyone know what the statement in messages actually mean?
Thanks,
Stacey
