Subject:   Booting from USB-stick == boot -a ?

I'm booting 8-stable from a USB stick, and I invariably end up in
the "askroot" prompt.

It looks like the CAM subsystem doesn't participate in the
root-mount-interlock scheme ?

I would have expected that to be fixed ages ago, am I missing
something here ?
