Hi,

Do you have an appropriate "output" line in your config? Just for an example,
mine looks like this on a WQHD X1 Carbon (also with UHD 620):

output eDP-1 pos 0,0 res 2560x1440

Also, what does swaymsg -t get_outputs say?

I have no idea regarding the long input initialization time (maybe you need
explicit configs for them too?), but a debug log (start sway with -d or 
--debug) might help.
