Nope, the correct syntax is documented in the rc.conf(5) manpage.
Or in your case:

static_routes="route1 route2"
route_route1="-net 192.168.2.128 -netmask 255.255.255.192 192.168.0.9"
route_route2="-net 192.168.2.228 -netmask 255.255.255.252 192.168.0.9"
