Just for the record; I'm running the very latest FBSD 6.1:

but Firefox2 still crashes on startup on my system. I've run it as root, =

We've got it ported but we're having a few problems on FreeBSD
older than late September. If you want to test you can download
the port from http://www.ahze.net/~ahze/distfiles/firefox.tar.bz2
