Squid slowed my adsl gateway down ???? I had pppNAT enabled on my new and superb ADSL link. the lan machines really whizzed along but hey needed caching. Enter Squid (it is a school too so firewall by squid is wanted too) So I install squid 2.3 and didn't really configure much...chose defaults and pointed a lan at the proxy 192.168.1.1:3128. Hey...where did my speed go? The gateway/proxy is a new P111 800MHz with high spin drives. Idon't get does anyone else?
