Its easier to get multi mode cards and buy a SM to MM media=20 convertor. Check out some of the parts clearing houses online for good=20 prices. Transition Networks, and IMC are two manufacturers that I have=20 used with good luck. EBAY is also another good source for inexpensive=20 sources at times, but of course supply is not always there. ---Mike At 02:49 PM 7/6/01 -0500, mark tinguely wrote: >forward from freebsd-questions: > > From: "Heimes, Rene" <rh@com-con.net> > To: <freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG> > > > to be more exact - i plan to use a bsd box as a router witch atm > > capabilities. > > are there any hints or are there certain difficulties i am going to > > face? > > > > (just in case feeBSD can=B4t handle) > > is there any other bsd/ unix that can handle atm well? > > > > -------- > > hello! > > > > does anyone know a reliable atm stm-1/oc-3 singlemode network interface > > card that is supported by freebsd? > > and, also important, where to get it from?
