I have freebsd 4.4 sendmail 8.12.6 when I modify access in etc/mail to two simple lines spammer.com 550 goaway 12.13.14 RELAY do a make (*even tried init 6ing) sendmail happily accepts mail from user@spammer.com and refused to relay from 12.13.14.* it is like it won't 'take' the new access.
