So 1) no PR was filed (what do we have a PR system for > anyway?) and 2) these messages contain no information about what the > bug is, just (in one of them) a vague description of symptoms, so you > don't even know if this is a real fix or just a workaround. 1) Don't drag everything you think you can use in your advantage into the discussion. It only shows your unreasonability and does nothing whatsoever to keep this discussion on track. 2) I know it's a fix, because not only does it solve the problem, it modifies the behaviour to one that matches Linux'. According to another email you sent in this thread you spend weeks to implement what you did and I assume that you invested numerous hours and days to grasp the grand problem. I'm not even going to argue with you whether I was involved in it or not, but don't expect me to think that you cannot follow the "next in thread" link, see the kernel trace and the patch in that thread and add 1 and 1 together. You're insulting my intelligence. Not only that, you're insulting your own intelligence... > Especially when similar patches have been suggested, discussed, and > rejected before (see for instance the audit trail for PR 26546). Please point me to the audit trail that contains the discussion and the ultimate reason for the rejection. The PR number you gave does not have the information you're referring to. -- Marcel Moolenaar USPA: A-39004 marcel@xcllnt.net To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe cvs-all" in the body of the message
