A while ago I ported the linux joystick program to work with doom to my
surprise the program works with xquake 8)

My kernel config entry:

device          joy0    at isa? port IO_GAME

cd /dev
./MAKEDEV joy


Read the included readme.freebsd file to find out how to run the 
program.
