You must shut-down you computer first, that's why at the company I worked, everybody who knew the admin-password logged in as admin. Simple. Excluding me, 'cause I was/am used to be careful with the root-account. But as we were sharing some PCs, the others got annoyed by the fact, that they weren't able to sit at the PC and start 'rconsole' or so, as I always logged out and logged in as myself. Under Unix, you just open another x-term and su to root. After that, you can log-out and everything is fine. But Windows has never been desgined as a multi-user system, so there will always be problems. cheers, Rainer -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |Rainer Duffner, E-Mail: duffner@fh-konstanz.de | | & Rainer.Duffner@konstanz.netsurf.de | |Fachhochschule Konstanz, Germany | |"What's a Network ?" - Bill Gates, early 1980s | | WWW:http://www-stud.fh-konstanz.de/~duffner | ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-newbies" in the body of the message
