In /usr/share/mk/bsd.port.mk edit the following line as:
FETCH_BEFORE_ARGS+= $${CKSIZE:+-S $$CKSIZE} -p
You could also just change the 2 fetch commands (fetch, ftp) to fetch -p
and ftp -p (these lines are right above and below the above line).
