Hello, When upgrading X i get the files Xbin.tgx,XVGA16.tgz, SVGA.tgz etc from Xfree.org. I then run install program and install them, this works fine. However How do you update the pkg db to show you have the latest version of X, so other packages with dependencies on a version of X can see its installed, when you have installed them seperately as opposed to having installed X using the pkg_add X.whatever version. So far have only been able to find seperate components of X, and not freebsd package, does one exist? . Some guidance would be appreciated. thanks aa ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
