It looks like an older version of ATF was in ports for a while from the comments in this PR, but it's gone. ATF-0.16 was merged into 10-CURRENT in on September 4, which makes use of ATF for FreeBSD related programs attractive. The pkgng team considers using it too (talked with bapt@ and bdrewery@ about this on IRC). However, no port exists at the moment to use ATF on older/stable versions of FreeBSD, which is necessary for adoption. So here it is.
