Good Afternoon, I have captured information concerning the build process that I am having difficulty with. This error output occurs after the files have been transferred, unpacked, and the initial configuration questions have been asked. All questions were answered with the default value (i.e., Enter). It appears that the target 'World' is not recognized by the Makefile located in /usr/ports/x11/XFree86. This is probably correct; I would have expected the makefile to be used should have been one of the ones located in the WRKDIR/work after the sources had been unpacked and patched. --BEGIN mmitchel-1# make -dl cd /usr/ports/x11/XFree86 && make 'CKSUMFILES+=X336src-1.tgz X336src-2.tgz 3.3.6 -3.3.6a.diffs.gz' configure cd /usr/ports/x11/XFree86 && make 'CKSUMFILES+=X336src-1.tgz X336src-2.tgz 3.3.6 -3.3.6a.diffs.gz' real-build echo "===> Building for XFree86-3.3.6_10" ===> Building for XFree86-3.3.6_10 cd /usr/ports/x11/XFree86 && make 'CKSUMFILES+=X336src-1.tgz X336src-2.tgz 3.3.6 -3.3.6a.diffs.gz' pre-build /usr/bin/true if [ -f /usr/obj/usr/ports/x11/XFree86/work/scripts/pre-build ]; then cd /usr/p orts/x11/XFree86 && /usr/bin/env OSVERSION=440000 MACHINE=i386 MACHINE_ARCH=i38 6 PORTOBJFORMAT=elf BSD_INSTALL_PROGRAM="install -c -s -o root -g wheel -m 555" BSD_INSTALL_SCRIPT="install -c -o root -g wheel -m 555" BSD_INSTALL_DATA="inst all -c -o root -g wheel -m 444" BSD_INSTALL_MAN="install -c -o root -g wheel -m 444" CURDIR=/usr/ports/x11/XFree86 DISTDIR=/usr/ports/distfiles WRKDIR=/usr/ob j/usr/ports/x11/XFree86/work WRKSRC=/usr/obj/usr/ports/x11/XFree86/work/xc PATCH DIR=/usr/ports/x11/XFree86/files SCRIPTDIR=/usr/obj/usr/ports/x11/XFree86/work/ scripts FILESDIR=/usr/ports/x11/XFree86/files PORTSDIR=/usr/ports DEPENDS="" P REFIX=/usr/X11R6 LOCALBASE=/usr/local X11BASE=/usr/X11R6 /bin/sh /usr/obj/usr/p orts/x11/XFree86/work/scripts/pre-build; fi cd /usr/ports/x11/XFree86 && make 'CKSUMFILES+=X336src-1.tgz X336src-2.tgz 3.3.6 -3.3.6a.diffs.gz' do-build (cd /usr/obj/usr/ports/x11/XFree86/work/xc; /usr/bin/env PORTOBJFORMAT=elf PREFI X=/usr/X11R6 LOCALBASE=/usr/local X11BASE=/usr/X11R6 MOTIFLIB="-L/usr/X11R6/lib -lXm -lXp" LIBDIR="/usr/lib" CFLAGS="-O -pipe " XXFLAGS=" -O -pipe -fmemoize-l ookups -fsave-memoized" BSD_INSTALL_PROGRAM="install -c -s -o root -g wheel -m 5 55" BSD_INSTALL_SCRIPT="install -c -o root -g wheel -m 555" BSD_INSTALL_DATA=" install -c -o root -g wheel -m 444" BSD_INSTALL_MAN="install -c -o root -g whee l -m 444" make -f /usr/ports/x11/XFree86/Makefile World) make: don't know how to make World.
