The linuxthreads port switched to glibc-linuxthread-2.1.2 a couple of weeks ago. As mentioned by someone else (Alfred?), you *will* have problems with linuxthreads on -stable SMP, but it may work on -stable otherwise (I haven't tried it). It sounds like you need to do a cvsup.
