Sorry about the previous empty post. I am trying create a filesystem on a server running FreeBSD at work. I would like to create a floppy that would mount the filesystem by NFS. This way, on any given machine at work, I could put the floppy in and turn it into a BSD workstation, without manipulating the hard disk. I was looking at netboot and etherboot, but I am confused. I don't want to make a rom image for a network card. The machines that I would put the floppy into are on the same network as the server, but the DHCP is administered by another group. If I just need to DHCP an address, but I know the address of the server running NFS, is my best bet to create a custom floppy with a kernel image on it and have the init scripts NFS mount the filesystem and continue?
