I apologize if it does not. I know little or nothing about computers. I recently purchased a copy of PC-BSD 1.4 Da Vinci Edition from Free BSD mall. Every time I try to install it the installation freezes and I get the error message can't exec getty '/user/libexec/getty' for port /dev/ttyv0: no such file or directory I'm trying to install it on an old Compaq Armada laptop. Is it possible that this machine is just too old to run PC-BSD? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Please keep any replies worded as simply as possible as I confuse easily. Mike Rosnok
