Can I get so help from a perl user...please....

what is the easiest way to read from a file and place
the info from that file to a place in the new file....

EX:  in file1 I had something like,,,,pick the apple

      in file2(new file) I had .....Can I eat the grapes

again, how can I read from file1 and place it in file2 to read

Can I pick the apples
